Sebastian’s “Diversity” Helmet auctioned off for β‚¬πŸπŸπŸ“,𝟎𝟎𝟎!

The helmet worn by Sebastian Vettel at two of this year’s grands prix has raised €225,000 for charity following the conclusion of an online auction.

Vettel modified his helmet design for the events in Turkey, where he claimed his sole 2020 podium, and in Bahrain, changing the German stripe to instead feature the rainbow colours.

The helmet design also featured several characters around the base of the helmet along with the messages β€˜together as one’ and β€˜no borders, just horizons – only freedom’.

After a 10-day bidding period, which concluded to coincide with the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the helmet was eventually sold for €225,000.

It is the only race-worn helmet that he has parted from during his six-year spell at Ferrari.

The proceeds from the sale will be divided equally between two charities: Kindern Eine Chance and Des Sourires Pour Le Togo organisations.

Kindern Eine Chance – Children a Chance – aims to help disadvantaged children in Uganda, focusing on assisting with their education, particularly those from an underprivileged background.

Des Sourires Pour Le Togo – Smiles For Togo – is a Swiss organisation that implements social and sustainable projects for children in Togo, and aims to enhance the water supply, education and health of those involved.
