Sebastian Vettel has returned to the top since his 2015 Singapore GP victory, 28 races ago. Seb crossed the finish line in first place after 57 laps, in a race whose key moment came on lap 23, when a perfectly executed pit stop for fresh tyres saw him rejoin the track ahead of Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes. This is Vettel’s 43rd career victory and his 4th for Ferrari.

Sebastian Vettel: “It’s what we needed. The guys have been working really hard and not getting much sleep. It’s a really fun car to drive. A title challenge is a long way ahead. For now we are just over the moon at the start we have made here today.”
Seb is now the first non-Mercedes driver to lead the world championship since… Sebastian Vettel, in Brazil 2013!
